West Point Academy, born out of the need felt for a space where learning takes place in a nurturing, holistic, value based and secure environment, started on 22nd June, 1992. It is nestled at Mahesh Serampore in Hooghly district of West Bengal, India and carefully designed to provide each student a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes sound values, self-discipline, motivation and excellence in learning. The school is affiliated to Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), New Delhi From a modest beginning with twelve eager children, a handful of determined staff and a lot of faith in the vision of a child-centred school, we have grown slowly but surely, holding fast to our philosophy, to school strength in excess of eight hundred children and more than hundred staffs. Now we offer classes from ROSE BUD to XII. In class XI and XII (ISC) all the three streams, Science, Commerce & Humanities are offered. Our belief that learning is continuous is reinforced, as is the essential purpose of the school to improve the learning and achievement of the students. Our statement of purpose sets out our commitment to our vision, core values and our educational philosophy, establishes the learning outcomes expected of each student and encourages teachers to continue to innovate and improve on existing methodology, ensuring we keep abreast of contemporary thought and innovation.
