Westflug Flight Training

Westflug Flight Training is one of the oldest (since 1963) and most experienced flight schools in the general aviation training. The school is Germany's first ATO school flying electric airplanes. It is situated at the Aachen Merzbrück Airport at the crossing of three countries: Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. At Westflug you can be taught to fly in German, Dutch or English languages. You can obtain either PPL or LAPL license, extend your license with night rating, aerobatic rating, ENR-IR or CB-IR. You can also be trained to become a flight instructor or follow a UPRT training. Throughout 60 years of experience Westflug taught to fly over people. From past to the present and into the future, Westflug’s fleet includes traditional training airplanes such as Cessna’s and Piper’s, in which many world’s best pilots were taught to fly and which were adjusted by the school to produce less noise. Westflug's more modern and lighter airplanes like Katana and Pipistrel Virus allow for both reduced emission and noise. The Lion King of the fleet is the high performance EXTRA 330LX used in aerobatics and Upset Prevention and Recovery trainings. Last, but not least, Westflug is the first Approved Training Organisation in Germany to teach people to fly on quite, zero emission and fully electric EASA certified Pipistrel Velis Electro airplanes.
