Westie Rescue Background: Each year Westie Rescue helps 50 to 100 abandoned or relinquished Westies find their way to new, permanent homes. It is through people like you who step up to say, “I can help a Westie in need” that makes our efforts complete. Each Westie that comes into our program is vetted and receives everything necessary to help them get ready to start a new life. Our goal is to find just the RIGHT home for each and every Westie, so that they will know the joy of waking up each day in the warmth of someone’s arms. We hope you can help us to continue to help them. WESTIE RESCUE OF THE MID-ATLANTIC STATES HAS HELPED HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE RECEIVE ACCURATE AND UP TO DATE INFORMATION SO THAT THEY CAN KEEP THEIR WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER (WESTIE) HEALTHY, PROPERLY FED, EXERCISED AND SOCIALIZED. In 2024 we reached a mile stone as Westie Rescue rescued and rehomed our 1,400th Westie. Each year for the past 33 years +, owners, state, county, and local municipal animal control authorities, reach out to Westie Rescue regarding dogs that are unwanted, contact Westie Rescue. Westie Rescue acts quickly to pick up the animal in question, drives them directly to a veterinarian hospital to ensure their health.
