Wetwheels was founded by disabled yachtsmen Geoff Holt MBE and here is the reason why; “I’ve been disabled for most of my life so I know the challenges disabled people and their families face on a daily basis. I know how important it is to escape that daily routine and spend time together with our friends having fun. Even before the accident which caused my disability, I loved being on the water and sailing on the seas. I have known all my life that feeling of freedom and independence I get when I am on a boat. I leave my disability on the dock, and for a moment in time, I’m free again. I want other disabled people to experience what I do. I believe all disabled people should have the right to have fun and the opportunity to get on a boat and share these experiences with our loved ones. It is for this reason I created Wetwheels.” Geoff Holt, MBE DL
