White Eagle Memorial Preserve is America's only wilderness cemetery. It is a green cemetery which means basically: no embalming, biodegradeable coffins or shrouds, minimal or no grave markers. It is 20 acres in size and sits within the 1300 acres of the Sacred Earth Foundation on the edge of Rock Creek Canyon near the Columbia Gorge in Washington State.
