White Mountain Forensic Consulting Services

Established in 1998, White Mountain Forensic Consulting Services specializes in review of medico-legal cases in both the criminal and civil arenas, providing literature searches and expert opinion when appropriate. Dr. Andrew is also available for workshops and lectures. Medical records, autopsy reports, images and tissue slides, investigation reports, witness statements and other relevant documents may be reviewed with an eye toward rendering, when possible, a medical opinion regarding cause and/or manner of death as well as patterns and mechanisms of injury in persons living or dead. Dr. Andrew is an experienced and skilled trial witness. Complex medical issues are presented to lay jurors in terms easily followed and understood. Dr. Andrew has offered testimony on a broad range of forensic medical issues at the county, state or federal court level in numerous states and has never been denied expert status. A reputation for reliable objectivity has led to engagement by both the state and defense in criminal matters and both plaintiff and defense in civil litigation. An engaging and sought after speaker on a wide array of forensic topics, Dr. Andrew has spoken to audiences ranging from ten to hundreds and has addressed those from middle school to medical trainees to professional colleagues to senior citizens. Dr. Andrew is Board certified in Pediatrics, Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Pathology and has performed over 5,800 autopsies for purposes of investigating sudden, unexpected or violent death. He served as Chief Medical Examiner for the State of New Hampshire from 1997-2017 and is a graduate of the University of Dayton (1978) and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (1982). His training in forensic pathology was with the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in New York City under the tutelage of Dr. Charles S. Hirsch. Dr. Andrew is a member of the National Association of Medical Examiners, the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the College of American Pathologists, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Helfer Society.
