Wicked Jazz Sounds

Wicked Jazz Sounds has become an institution within the Dutch music scene, especially as a musical platform. A life span of more than twenty years overlooking club and festival performances. A staggering 18 years of non-stop Sunday club nights and in addition to performances on all major festivals e.g. North Sea Jazz, Lowlands, Dance Valley plus a wide range of stages in the Netherlands and abroad, they managed to organize their own Wicked Jazz Sounds Festival three times in a row, holding up to visitors each edition. This musical family is also known from its radio shows on Yoursafe Radio whereas in the past ‘Red Light Radio’ (online) and ‘NPO Radio 6 Soul & Jazz’ (Dutch public radio). Let’s not forget its series of compilations (seven volumes!), two band albums plus the still running and followed by thousands the TIP44 playlist on Spotify (monthly updated). During live shows, it is DJs that play together with musicians on an infectious dance floor focused mix of funk, soul, hip hop, house, jazz and much more. The Wicked Jazz Sounds motto is still the same since 2002…Dance with a smile!
