Wicklow Limited is an agricultural platform company established to leverage the opportunities presented by virtue of Africa’s current state of agricultural development. Wicklow aims to be Africa’s number one Food and Food Derivatives Company by creating large scale, sustainable agribusiness utilizing appropriate modern technology. Incorporated in Nigeria, Wicklow is desirous of exploiting the opportunities that abound in Nigeria’s emerging agricultural value chain by capitalizing on the various land holdings in the country for the production of food crops that will provide primary input for further processing and consumption in the market. Small holder agriculture is critical but properly run, can only feed about 15% of the Nigerian population. To produce the additional 85% required, the country will have to rise from the level of subsistence farming and embrace commercial, large scale farming sustained to a point where it can create wealth. Wicklow acts as a holding company of the vertical companies NSM Foods, Quarra Rice Limited, Gil Agro Services and Gil Flour Limited. It raises capital to create the assets and generate the essential services that underpin agriculture, such as Mortgage (Land), Land Clearing, Farm Equipment, Construction Equipment, Roads (farm or external), Power, Water, Seeds, Maintenance / Repair facilities and appropriate Storage facilities (crops, fuel, gas etc.) Wicklow has through its subsidiaries, been involved in agricultural activities for over 46 years in the farming and processing of cassava and rice.
