We started WiFieon because we saw how large wireless Internet providers were either completely overlooking hospitality properties, or charging exorbitant amounts for systems that—let’s face it—didn’t always work as promised. To meet this need, we began developing a custom solution for hospitality properties by re-purposing technology that was originally developed to share Internet connections in developing countries. We found that the same characteristics important for remote communities in developing countries–a high number of simultaneous users, fast speeds, security, the ability to upgrade, ease of use, affordability and high reliability—are also crucial for hospitality properties. We take a different approach from most companies out there, but it’s one that works extremely well. We are a team of networking enthusiasts, committed to the idea that network management should be simple and affordable. Therefore, we developed the wifiza software, a Wi-Fi Access Points management system offered through the cloud that does not require any expensive dedicated hardware controller. Enterprise customers have the option of four product lines: WiFi, Location, Fusion and WiFieon Provision (BYOD). Small businesses can take advantage of our free guest WiFi product or purchase a cloud software license, which gives them marketing and analytics tools.
