Wild Earth Oceania

Wild Earth Oceania (WEO)) are Australia's Wildlife Film Festival and Movement that recover species from threatened extinction through the power of film to create policy reform, persevere biodiversity, and create large Wildlife Impact Outcomes. Australia is a mega-biodiverse Nation (one of only 17 mega-biodiverse Nations( that is currently at the bottom rung of the ladder for species extinction in developed Nations. Almost all of our Wildlife occur no where else in the world (89%). These wildlife provide ecosystem services to the tune of 44 trillion dollars. They provide clear air, fertile soil, pollination, pharmaceutical wealth, development needs for children, physical and mental health benefits for all people, oxygen (did you know every second breath you take comes from a whale?), and simply put, we simply cannot survive without them. Moreover they have their own precious right to live. As humans, we are responsible for wildlife as custodians, caretakers and stewards. We are also born story tellers. Film informs, inspires, educates ovulates and mobilises millions of people around the world to act and to create the impact and necessary changes that we need to preserve our fragile ecosystems and defenceless and vulnerable wildlife. Wild Earth Oceania are 100% focused on impact and on driving the change necessary with NGO's, Indigenous leaders, Grassroots Organisations, and Governments, to bring wildlife to the top rung fo the ladder to ensure their health and continued existence for future generations and to protect this beautiful planet and its inhabitants.
