I am dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals who have been arrested and charged with a crime. After obtaining a major in criminal justice from Michigan State University, I came to the realization that I would not work within the criminal justice system, but I could work in a way to keep that very system in check. Because of this, I went to law school with the mindset of becoming a criminal defense attorney. While in law school I was able to work at the Federal Defender Office for the Eastern District of Michigan. Following my graduation from Michigan State University College of Law, I was able to clerk for one of the best criminal defense attorney’s in the state of Michigan, Michael Rataj. These opportunities have allowed me to witness how the system operates first hand, and have forced me to appreciate the difficulty that comes in times such as these. Because of this experience, my philosophy has become to treat my clients as if they were members of my family. I am passionate about what I do, and I am truly dedicated to helping my clients obtain the best outcome possible.
