Founder John D. Wilbur grew up in the family business. A business bought by his Grandfather, David G. Willbur Sr, with the small savings he accumulated during his service to our country during World War II. Over the years spent in the family business Attorney Willbur's a simple truth became apparent. As Attorney Willbur's family provided unparalleled service to their customers, those customers in turn thrived, grew and necessarily had greater needs for the services provided by the Willbur family. Said another way, putting the customer first, is to the advantage of all involved ethically, and equitably. Why would anyone operate any other way? The ethos of "Client First", provides the framework for every representation at Willbur Law. From the beginning the communication between client and attorney must be done in full candor. Willbur Law is proud of our accomplishments and we of course wish to impress upon potential clients the experience, of our attorneys, the innovative, results driven, ligation tactics and resources at our disposal. However, its equally important to discuss those parts of litigation which are uncomfortable, and frankly awkward at the very outset of representation. How is this accomplished? Through strong interpersonal, client-attorney, communication, that surpasses the often surface level interaction attorneys have with clients, Willbur Law ascertains the needs of the client. A frank and in-depth, cost-benefit analysis of the legal path to meet that need or needs is presented to the client. Essentially, from moment one we define "what does victory look like." This can be difficult, emotional, and awkward conversation to have. However, it's critical not to allow a bit of social awkwardness to weaken the foundation of trust between the attorney and client.
