WILLINK ASSET MANAGEMENT LLC is one of the few fee-only registered investment adviser firms in Western New Your and one of very few whose focus is middle class-affluent households, private trusts, and smaller employer retirement plans. The firm does not accept commissions, 12b-1 fees, referral fees, rebates, or soft-dollar arrangements. Nor does it rely upon insurance products to produce tax-efficient portfolio solutions. Willink Asset Management shuns many of the marketing messages, expensive products and trading practices often promoted by Wall Street, the insurance or mutual fund industries. We believe this allows us to pass savings on to our clients, to avoid risks for which little reward is likely, and to help ensure that client goals are achieved, net of taxes, inflationary factors, investment expenses and investment risks. Ongoing investment management services are typically provided on a fixed annual retainer basis. Portfolios range in size from to for client households and private trusts. Some smaller and larger portfolios are also served. The firm’s portfolios are built from investment grade bonds; tax efficient and low expense index-type funds; and to a lesser degree, individual stocks. We are pleased to have direct access to some of the nation’s leading investment research resources “off Wall Street”. Financial planning and investment consultation services are typically provided on an hourly or fixed-fee basis in situations where ongoing portfolio management is not suitable. The firm has been a long time advocate and developer of probability analysis tools to test financial plans and portfolio performance under stress. Recent consults have included the evaluation of a community hospital’s 403B Plan, recommendations for the restructuring of a personal and Trust account in the face of a nursing home admission, and the review (and eventual takeover) of an account that suffered a precipitous drop in value.
