Mark and Matthew’s uncles Horace and Joe set up as barrow boys selling their wares in Marble Arch, London in the early 1940’s. In 1947 they returned to Bury and their younger brother Frank left the RAF to join them at the world famous Bury Market selling top quality fresh fruit and vegetables. Following family tradition Mark and Matthew joined the team and ran the stalls until a year or so ago. Enter Sean, Mark’s son the latest family addition who now works with them at their new premises Unit 5/6, Peel Industrial Estate, Bury, BL9 LU, a location allowing them easy access across the motorways to Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire. • Old fashioned values remain at the heart of their work culture: • Supplying 1st class produce • Ensuring good value for money • Valuing their customers • Passionate about their work
