Marty Wilde is currently Principal Engineer and CEO of WINData LLC, a veteran energy business development company with 21 years’ experience in MT and the west. Wilde is a Researcher, Project Engineer and Business Development Specialist. WINData offers a long-term seasoned engineering and business perspective to renewable energy development, which comprises strategic thinking and technical expertise dating back to 1991. Wilde initiated wind energy in Montana in the early 90’s on the Blackfeet Reservation and Cut Bank and later in Judith Gap, MT. Wilde's work over the years has led to commercial energy development in Montana, on the Columbia River Gorge, near Casper, WY and more recently the Fairfield Wind, Greenfield Wind and Crazy Mountain Wind projects in MT. In 2007, in partnership with OSIsoft, WINData began working with utility companies, forecasters and plant operators to develop WINDataNOW! Technology; a set of real-time data tools and techniques that facilitate the integration of variable generation resources into the grid. In 2009 WINData was awarded a USDOE Research Grant to use these tools to help the operators of the 200MW Glacier Wind plant in Cut Bank, MT overcome scheduling and reliability challenges. WINData provides meteorological (“met”) system array design, tower specification, project installation, data analysis and integration to support end user site prospecting, plant design, economic projections and wind integration requirements.
