Windfire

windfire is the technology leader in wind thermal energy. We develop wind turbines that produce heat directly and thereby establish one of the cheapest sources of renewable and emission-free heat. Wind thermal turbines are a key technology for a successful transition to renewable district heating systems, able to deliver heat at high temperature levels up to 150 °C. In Germany, over half of the energy demand is heat, not electricity. windfire builds upon existing wind turbine technology and thus, makes the technology available at megawatt scale in relatively short time, before the energy-intensive industry has left the country.
