Wingman Mentors

As an organisation, we collaborate with local authorities and organisations to offer assistance to families who are impacted by criminal exploitation and gang affiliation. The involvement of a young person on the boundaries or entrenched within can have a ripple effect on their family, exposing them to various risks such as grooming and potential retaliation. Our primary objective is to provide the necessary support to such families, reducing the potential risks they face, while also working towards a safe exit for the young person from the gang. The program aims to provide a range of services and resources to help young people break free from cycles of violence and crime, and to support them in developing positive relationships with their peers, families, and communities. Connecting a range of services and resources, including counselling and support, mentoring and coaching, educational and vocational support, and access to community resources and activities. The program also works closely with families, schools, and other community organizations to provide a coordinated network of support for young people. Overall, the youth service is committed to providing young people with the support, guidance, and resources they need to break free from cycles of violence and crime, and to live healthy, productive lives
