Founded in Richmond, Virginia in 1977, Winks Snowa Architects, PC is dedicated to excellence in architectural design. The firm’s primary design focus is on multifamily housing projects ranging from affordable, income restricted housing communities to luxury, market rate apartment projects. In addition to apartments, projects in the firm’s portfolio include single family homes, townhomes and senior housing. Site Planning and Master Planning are key elements of the firm’s work. These processes are vital to the success of the overall project. The firm has designed many new construction and rehabilitation projects under Virginia Housing and Development Authority’s (VHDA) Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC). The firm has the distinction of completing the first EarthCraft certified multifamily project in Virginia. Under the VHDA LIHTC program, the firm has completed multiple projects that have achieved EarthCraft Multifamily Certification. Several firm team members are EarthCraft Multifamily Training Certificate Holders as well as Virginia Housing Development Authority Universal Design Certificate Holders. The firm also has a LEED Accredited Professional on staff. All of the firm’s architectural team members are members of the American Institute of Architects and several are members of the Urban Land Institute.
