As a firm we prefer to err on the side of caution and we will stay clear of any exotic, untested investments in favour of those that have demonstrated a strong track record of performance. Our investment committee build you a portfolio made up of a number of funds and invest your money directly into them. They feature a combination of corporate bonds, gilts, property and equity. We also manage your money going forwards, so if for example our experts no longer think China is a good area to be invested in, they will switch your money from the Chinese fund to another area. This is what is known as discretionary management. Some investments are also seen to be higher risk than others. A fund that invests in small African companies is more risky than one that invests in UK gilts. Therefore, we will always invest money in funds that match your risk profile.
