Wish School- Korea

WISH School is an educational institution that aims to cultivate second- generation North Korean adolescent defectors born outside of the peninsula, into global citizens capable of playing a role to bridge countries for future reunification. The program has the following objectives: 1) To Develop their mother tongue, Chinese 2) To Design their dreams to become global leaders through pre/during/post reading activities and project- based learning activities in Korean and English as foreign languages. Here at WISH School, we strongly believe that these children, young adults, and adults can play a pivotal role in bridging China, North Korea, and South Korea. In the future era of unification, when North Korea opens up, neighboring countries can simultaneously contribute to global peace beyond the unification of North and South Korea. Instead of making them adapt to Korea as foreigners, we aim to provide educational opportunities for them to grow into global talents who can demonstrate their capabilities as global citizens beyond multiculturalism, following the model of international schools.
