With Passion & Purpose

I’m Karen, a professional photographer and writer, passionate about inspiring women & girls to do what they love and to BE SEEN. Maybe it’s because I’m a woman in business myself, maybe it’s because I’m mother to a daughter, maybe it’s lots of things but the prospect of helping women to be seen is what motivates me EVERY SINGLE DAY. I know how daunting it is to have a camera pointed at you and be told to ‘smile’ so who better to help you through the process! I’m also very familiar with the things that can hold us back. Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of upsetting the status quo even if the status quo isn’t making us happy. We’re here to live our lives, not anyone else’s and by following our hearts we have the chance of inspiring those around us, be they our children, parents, friends, family or peers. I love to capture real life, human connection and to create stories both in words and pictures. I photograph in a natural, documentary style, catching women and girls absorbed in following their passions…whether that’s a career passion, a side hustle or a hobby. No studios, nothing too staged or posed and everything kept as truthful and authentic as possible. My photographic work includes- Branding shoots for female founders, CEO’s, life coaches, personal trainers, nutritionists, healers, dreamers & doers - Event photography for female focussed gatherings such as yoga workshops, wellbeing talks, health & fitness classes - Social media content for bloggers, influencers and instagrammers - Portraits & lifestyle shoots with female creatives, makers, artists, authors, actors, dancers and athletes - Personal shoots for girls with passion (individuals, teams, schools)- I’m also available to work directly with independent magazines and publishing houses with largely female audiences
