Located on 1,200 beautiful acres in Madison County, Virginia, near Charlottesville and Washington, D. C, Woodberry is an all-residential school serving students in grades 9-12. We enroll 398 students from 23 states, the District of Columbia, and 17 countries. Our faculty members, almost all of whom live on campus, are men and women with significant academic backgrounds and many years of classroom experience. Since our founding in 1889, Woodberry Forest has been recognized internationally as a leader in the education of boys. Students are carefully selected from an outstanding group of strong applicants. 44 percent of our families receive tuition assistance in large part due to the generosity of the 65 percent of our alumni who give back to the school each year.
