Marco is a classically trained fine furniture maker and restorer with over twenty years of experience, who was educated in Venice, Italy. He is a member of the AICCM (Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material), and sits on the Heritage Committee of the Australian Institute of Architects. With workshops in East Fremantle and in the South West WA Marco is one of a diminishing number of antique restorers in Western Australia with traditional skills who applies sympathetic restoration techniques, from the correction of the smallest watermark to the full restoration of a damaged or neglected piece. Marco has been commissioned to work on significant pieces of heritage furniture and architecture, including within the historical collection of religious furniture of Hale School and architectural features of St. Werburgh’s Chapel.
