Workchoice

Workchoice is a non-profit organisation who aims to positively impact youth employment. Our mission is to lead New Zealand students’ journey of enquiry and possibility. For more than 23 years we have been empowering young people to make great employment choices by offering our unique set of resources and events. We also support educators and businesses to have meaningful conversations and connections with young people. With over students having experienced our programmes since 1994 The choices for young people to make about their future can seem endless and overwhelming. Our team of dedicated Pathway Advisors deliver students real advice and real hands on experience, in person and online. INSPIRE “Inspiration exists, but has to find you working” Research shows that a combination of classroom learning and workplace exposure is where the magic happens. The most impactful and long-lasting impression a young person can get about their future career has been left by employers. INFORM Our cornerstone programme, Workchoice Days is the perfect opportunity for students to become immersed in the atmosphere of a working environment. And for educators, Teachers’ Workchoice Day is back, offering a direct link for businesses to deliver current and relevant skills information to subject teachers. EXPERIENCE “Experience is where true discovery and understanding happens” Real insight comes from doing. Together with employers, we can offer students a taste of the working world while they’re still at school. Workchoice values our relationships with local businesses, and know that it’s through the support of commercial organisations that we can deliver these valuable programmes to students and educators across New Zealand.
