World Gem Foundation

The World Gem Foundation is a not-for-profit Canadian corporation with the mandate to provide quality and affordable gemmological training. The World Gem Foundation currently consists of seventeen national and regional gem academies. Currently, our students come from over 80 countries worldwide with diverse backgrounds that include small artisanal miners, gem cutters, wholesalers, retailers, gem valuers, laboratory workers, government mining employees and customs officials. We offer three diploma programs (Career Gemmologist, Diamond Professional and Coloured Gemstone Professional), eight theoretical courses, six practical courses, a six-month residency program and ‘bespoke’ courses and programs designed specifically to meet the needs of our students in English, French and Spanish and updated every two years. Our courses and programs are the most expansive, comprehensive and up to date in the market.
