World Report News covers the causes of, consequences of, and the solutions to conflict in a greater depth and complexity than mass media companies, with an emphasis on hard news and applicable solutions to pressing international crises. The overall goal is to broaden and deepen Americans' and foreign audiences' understanding of world affairs in a manner conducive to peace instead of war. WRN rejects the news-for-profit model and is premised on the belief that the pursuit of higher CPM rates and advertiser interests is largely responsible for the failure on the part of media companies to adequately inform an American audience on issues of war and peace around the globe. WRN rejects the notion that Americans are uninterested in or unable to comprehend complex foreign affairs, and insists that public ignorance on matters of foreign affairs is foremost a consequence of the broader failures of mass media companies in this country. World Report News publishes material submitted on a volunteer basis by senior issue area experts on location and in research and analysis centers around the world. Instead of relying on a huge staff of paid journalists, we connect material directly from the source to the audience, using only a small core of editor-publishers to verify, aggregate, edit, and publish content.
