Worldschooling

We spent a full year traveling the planet from Hudson's Bay in the Arctic Ocean to The Bay of Bengal in India. Along the way we unschooled our two children taking a curiousity led approach to expand their interests, knowledge and experiences through real-world exploration of the topics that go beyond any standard classroom. Our trip included one month in each of: Northern Ontario, Greece, Italy, South East Asia (Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore), Mexico, Kenya, India and New York. We studied Spanish in Guanajuato, the history of the Khmer Kingdom in Cambodia, Coding in Bangalore, Scultpture in Florence, Mythology in Greece, Survival Skills in Temagami, and Math in Singapore. The kids have now re-entered 'mainstream school' and have been assessed at above grade level competence.
