Alou Dia was born in Senegal, Africa where he grew up with his older brothers. Once of age, he moved to Corsica, France to join his parents. Alou graduated from Art and Architecture school at École d'Art Appliqué de Lyon. He then went on to attend École des Beaux Art de Marseille and University of Montreal. He took his education, experience and passion to New York City in 2011 to pursue a career as an Artist. In 2016, he had his first solo exhibition, Yade at Usagi Gallery. His show was a success and opened the door for him to become a member of the Brooklyn Art Council. There, he donates his artwork to be part of their annual art auction which helps to bring arts and education to Brooklyn’s most under-resourced schools and senior centers. Alou took a number of his clientele and resources to establish himself as an Art Advisor. He uses his experience, network and expertise to guide the sensibly luxurious and culturally conscious individual in making the best choice for their collecting practice. His clients range from international and national private art collectors to interiors designers based in New York City and Los Angeles.
