Yaro Studios

Yaro is a collective arts center focused on the intersection of design, art and traditional crafts. Located in Greenpoint Brooklyn, yaro creates space for education and experimentation across multiple disciplines. We hold classes, lectures and events focused in ceramics, fiber arts, textiles, block printing, lighting and mycology, amongst other modes of creative making. We believe design, art, and creative expression are uniquely informed through hands-on material research. Just as important, we believe craft can facilitate a unique and meaningful dialogue around culture, community and our sense of self. Yaro’s ethos represents creative disciplines that foster community building, ecological awareness, mysticism, respect and diversity.
