About Yarra Foundation - Empowering Futures for Disadvantaged Children At Yarra Foundation, we are a vibrant community of Iranian immigrants in Australia, united by a common purpose since 2013 – to break the cycle of illiteracy and poverty for disadvantaged children in Iran. While we cherish life in Australia, our hearts ache for the underprivileged children in Iran who struggle for basic needs. Our Mission: Education for All, Regardless of Circumstances Our mission is unwavering: to transform underprivileged children's lives in Iran, transcending ethnicity, age, gender, identity, or place of birth. We provide essential educational tools, resources, and opportunities to unlock their potential and build a brighter future. Every child, regardless of circumstances, deserves this chance. Our ultimate goal is a society where access to education isn't tied to socioeconomic status, ensuring every child can thrive. Purpose: Our Association's primary purpose is to alleviate poverty, disability, destitution, suffering, misfortune, and helplessness by championing education for disadvantaged Iranian children. Our objectives include:(a) Facilitating education access for disadvantaged children in remote areas, breaking the cycle of illiteracy and poverty.(b) Providing essential supplies: equipment, books, medicine, and food, meeting basic needs and safety.(c) Equipping schools for children with disabilities with educational and therapeutic resources.(d) Pursuing all lawful actions to fulfill our Purpose.
