YOI is a vibrant and upbeat Indonesian-fusion restaurant smack-bang in the middle of Melbourne CBD. Translated to mean ‘yes!’, YOI serves Indonesian fusion delicacies. We serve traditional family recipes with a twist, with imported ingredients and spices made in-house. What started as a fun humble project to create tasty salted egg yolk sauce became a turning point for the two brothers Dion and Michael. That, and a combined passion for cooking and a strong affinity for Indonesian cuisine was the recipe to YOI’s successful family venture. YOI is our joy and pride. Sure, we are passionate about showcasing our love for the cuisine with our creative spin, but we are more proud to have this privilege to represent our homeland. One of our goals is to make Indonesian cuisine one they can’t forget, and for Melburnians to know what Indonesian food is all about — hearty, inviting and cosy, which translates into how YOI tastes, looks and feels. It’s how we make your experience a really welcoming one. We are also committed to serving the best hospitality with food made of the highest quality of ingredients whilst making it affordable and accessible for everyone.
