When YORA was first conceived as a brand, the vision was to deliver (w)holistic solutions to people who were looking to solve skin challenges by sharing the view that a whole-system approach was the only way to finding these solutions. YORA’s philosophy has always been based on the multidimensional functional and integrative medicine approaches to wellness. We believe that the sum of the parts make up the whole and these parts work in harmony to complete the whole picture, which is effectively our health and happiness outcomes and journeys. Healthy and beautiful skin cannot be achieved unless you are prepared to address all the underlying situations or conditions in your life, which may include toxic relationships, poor eating behaviours or habits, poor detoxification, compromised gut health, poor sleep, chronic pain or excessive stress. Unless we take into account our genome, our habits, our history, our family, our culture and society and our current choices, behaviours and approaches, it is pointless to expect a different outcome or hope that we would be happier, more balanced in general, or wake up with glowing skin. This approach determines that our bodies and minds do not function in isolation. The vision for YORA is to become an educational and inspiration hub for people to connect and share their body-mind wellness journeys and take inspiration from content rich sources and efficacious products to decide how to apply these and decide what to do next to change what does not work for them.
