Now in its 10th year, the Young Innovator Awards (YIA) was established to develop a culture of innovation in the Western Bay of Plenty through inspiring and encouraging young people to become true creative innovators. 2020 will see YiA encourage problem-solving based on New Zealand’s COVID-19 lockdown. Unlike any other year, we have had to think fast, and make innovative decisions on how we could make this year's competition work in the context of COVID-19.
