Founded by veteran trial lawyers Thomas G. Young, and Thomas C. Valkenet, and with the addition of Ian T. Valkenet in 2012, the firm serves persons and companies that have been sued, or who need to file suit to protect their business interests. The firm accepts engagements in the areas of commercial, construction, real estate and transportation litigation. By way of example, these categories include construction contract disputes, title claims and title insurance coverage disputes, surety bond claims, corporate dissolutions, admiralty and maritime claims for collision, salvage, cargo damage, maritime liens, injuries to seaman and claims for railroad or longshore related personal injuries. The firm does not accept engagements in the areas of worker's compensation, traffic, domestic relations, divorce and child custody. We will gladly refer you to lawyers better suited to these matters.
