Your Credit Union is establishing itself as a new credit union covering the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and surrounding areas. Anyone who lives, works or studies in Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster, or is associated with certain key partners, can now become a member. You can see if you qualify for membership and join online at It has been driven by the high-profile support of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea as well as the Kensington & Chelsea Partnership, the local Primary Care Trust, the local voluntary sector and a number of social housing providers, particularly Octavia Foundation, who took the step of acting as the accountable body. Your Credit Union continues to receive widespread support at all levels across the borough, from the main public bodies to individual tenants/workers, and has grown to be seen as a flagship initiative in the borough. The key local organisations and stakeholders have recognised the potential of a new borough-wide credit union, not only to become an effective and sustainable not-for-profit enterprise that can provide individual benefit to each member but an organisation that can play a significant role in the overall social and economic development of the area.
