At YSD, we collaborate with both duty bearers and rights holders to enhance the quality of life for marginalized communities, with a focus on governance and entitlements. Our interventions span vital sectors such as health, education, water, sanitation, housing, and climate change resilience. Our Stakeholders: We prioritize the needs of resource-poor and marginalized groups, particularly Dalit and Adivasi children, youth, and women, recognizing their agency in shaping their own futures. Approach: We adopt a multi-faceted approach that involves mobilizing communities to access essential services, empowering them through capacity-building initiatives, and advocating for policy changes at the local level. Vision:Our vision is to foster a just, equitable, and sustainable society where every individual enjoys social, economic, and democratic rights, and is empowered to realize their fullest potential with dignity. Education and Health: We implement programs such as Foundation Learning, Adolescent Empowerment Programme, and Child-Friendly Eco-System to promote educational attainment and improve health outcomes. b. Citizenship and Governance: Our initiatives focus on fostering an aware citizenry and promoting collaborative governance to ensure access to basic services and social protection for all. c. Climate and Disaster Risk Reduction: Through disaster relief and preparedness efforts, disaster risk reduction initiatives, and advocacy for green habits and circular economy practices, we work towards building resilient communities in the face of climate change challenges.
