YPSat | Young Professionals Satellite The Young Professionals Satellite of the European Space Agency is an ESA programme supported by the ESA Education Office, enabling Young Professionals at ESA to initiate, develop and lead a space mission. The first successful mission, YPSat-1, saw the team design and launch a payload that provided valuable images of key phases during the inaugural flight of Ariane 6. Building on this success, YPSat-2 is currently under development to send AIM (Angiology in Microgravity), a scientific experiment aboard ESA’s Space Rider for a two-month space mission. AIM will study how microgravity affects blood flow in the internal jugular vein, with a focus on deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
