Yurala Welding

Founded and established by Charles Smith and Koy Smith in 2017, Yurala Welding is a 100% owned Aboriginal business, managed locally by the Smith family from Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The family are Traditional Owners of the Banjima Language Group. Koy and Charles also have close Traditional Owner ties to the Guruma Language Group. The business is rapidly growing to a reputable and highly successful operation. Yurala Welding’s goal is to work with our clients to increase employment and training opportunities leading to long term sustainable work in the Trade Industry, and to inspire Aboriginal people to also take up the apprenticeship challenge and work towards a promising career in demanding industries.
