Yuri Education Project

Our educational resources and professional learning help teachers, youth, and cultural organizations explore the invisible Asian American stories in our history so they can uncover larger truths that expand the narrative and create a more equitable and inclusive society. Youth will learn how to stand out and stand up in their identities so they can lead with authority and empathy. Our work draws from a tradition of culturally relevant pedagogy, in which students’ backgrounds and knowledge is viewed as a valuable resource in the classroom. We also embrace more recent re-thinking of education that considers theories of un-doing settler colonialism and the work of resisting white supremacy.
