R N Malhotra and Anna R Malhotra were two outstanding nation builders who left behind a legacy. R N Malhotra served as the Secretary of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance to the Government of India and was the seventeenth RBI Governor. He received the Padma Bhushan in 1990. On the other hand, Anna R Malhotra was the first woman IAS officer in India, who also served as the Education Secretary to the Government of India and received the Padma Bhushan in 1989. With exemplary professional careers, R N Malhotra and Anna R Malhotra strongly believed in giving back to society. Following their footsteps, the Trust aims to make a difference at the grassroots. The R N Malhotra & Anna R Malhotra Charitable Trust runs its programs under the YuvaVidya initiative, which has reached nearly primary school children across five government schools and one community center, in a cluster of villages in rural Faridabad, since 2022. The Trust is committed to improving educational outcomes for socially and economically disadvantaged children through remedial English and Math classes in government primary schools, using activity-based and experiential teaching methods. In addition to enhancing student performance, the initiative generates employment for qualified local educators, fostering respect and financial independence. The teachers are trained through several training programmes in the year in the latest teaching pedagogies.
