Zalmon is a vegan alternative to smoked salmon that launched in June 2021. Sarah our founder is half of the partnership that started Sazzy and Fran Coffee Shop. Zalmon was developed in 2017 as a product for the Zalmon and cream cheese bagels, and has remained on the best-selling list ever since. Sazzy and Fran would sometime use the Zalmon at dinner parties to delight their guests with canapés and creamy pasta dishes."It was the popularity of the Zalmon in the bagels plus its versatility as an ingredient", says Sarah,"that helped us to realise the potential Zalmon had". When the cafe went to take-away in 2020 and they had a little time on their hands Zalmon became a packaged product that their customers could use at home. Now Zalmon is in 5 local stores and looking to grow.
