The current public discourse in Israel tends to be populist and superficial. The mainstream media and social networks are abashed with hostility, disrespect, dishonesty and disregard to facts. Moreover, our local communications market is not open or varied enough, so few market leaders control the public tone exclusively. There are nearly no platforms for respectful, productive and fruitful discussion, nor for original quality content that deals with challenging and meaningful issues in Israeli society. From this reality, “Zavit Aheret” was founded. An online platform that aims to present critical, inquisitive, meticulous and accurate content from the entire political, social and cultural spectrum. Our goal is to encourage honest, complex and respectful debate where well-founded conclusions and peaceful resolutions may be formed.
