ZGF Cotter Architects was formed in 2014 as a partnership between ZGF Architects LLP and Cotter Architects. The new company combines the internationally recognized design strength of ZGF with the trusted local leadership of Cotter Architects. It established a vision to work together to set new standards of design excellence and exceptional client service in the Canadian marketplace. A truly multidisciplinary firm, ZGF Cotter fosters a design philosophy that is centered on the premise that design excellence should be reflected in every aspect of a building – its fit within the community, its function and relationship to its users, its building systems, and its cost. We are an established leader in evolving the industry’s practice of high performance, sustainable building design, with over 150 LEED accredited professionals and more than 95 projects that are LEED certified or registered between ZGF’s six offices in Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and New York.
