Zietsman Architects
ZIETSMAN ARCHITECTS is a newly established architectural practice in Durban, KwaZulu Natal that specializes in hospitals, retirement villages as well as shopping centres. Headed up by Lou Zietsman, former founder of Lou Zietsman Architects (Pty) Ltd, this new venture aims to advocate the use of new technologies and forms of representation whilst offering a collective 45 years of experience in various fields of the architectural profession. Lou has contributed significantly to the typological landscape of Ballito with residential projects in Zimbali Estate, Ballito Gardens and various other esteemed housing estates. While his main focus has been mixed-use commercial and sub-acute hospitals nationwide, he still enjoys the challenges of residential projects and remains devoted to delivering designs that are contemporary and well situated within the surrounding context. Tiaan is a young architect with just over 3 years experience in high-end residential developments. He hopes to incorporate new design principles and modern materials whilst embracing contemporary means of representation.
