Nothing universal brings people together such as food. Growing up in a big traditional Moroccan family is no exception for that. While we have been born and raised in a western city, the desire for pure and traditional food has always been there. The Tajine has been an earthenware dish for centuries and until this day, it never ceases to amaze us. The delicate flavors and its nutritive virtues take us back to the heart of Morocco. The narrow streets in Fez, the market square in Marrakech, the typical coastal towns like Essaouira or the small village where my parents grew up. The inviting earthy flavor and aroma of multi-colored vegetables, meat, chicken or fish cooked in clay are just irresistible. ZIRI was founded in 2020 out of love for good food and quality by the sisters Ikram and Amal. An invitation to explore the authentic and earthy flavors of the tajine and get a glimpse into Moroccan cuisine.
