Zodal

Zodal is a leading New Zealand developer of mobile game software, mobile applications and also develops corporate websites and web 2.0 applications. The company specialises in "design across devices" with solid expertise in User Experience Design and thinking outside the box. Zodal leads the Adobe Flash Lite developer forum and was a finalist in the TUANZ 2007 "Mobile Application of the Year" Award. Zodal has developed capabilities in "networked device" applications. Initial developments focused on multi-player mobile games — two or more players interacting with each other via a hosted online game application. This path led them to become an early adopter of OpenCloud's "Rhino" JAIN SLEE middleware, so that the online and mobile applications would massively scale and be suited for deployment within large telco carrier environments. The technology was demonstrated internationally with support from NZTE & OpenCloud. Zodal has extended their mobile platform to encompass and broker real-time social networking and location-aware features amongst managing mobile session, presence and registration services. 2008/09 Zodal works with Air New Zealand and LINK Share Registry Services -NZX delivering aspects of their next generation mobile strategies.
