Floppets by Zydeco Studios are the homegrown brainstorm of Ilyse Brainin, a passionate reading teacher. Ilyse’s vision is to create cool, fun, and affordable transmedia toys and novelties that are story driven. Floppets are a clever, cute and customizable collection of characters you can attach to anything! Wear them on your finger or add them to your most personal accessories. Floppets allow you to demonstrate how clever you are by “wear” you attach them! You can collect, share, wear, and trade them with everyone! The World of Floptopia is being built around the Floppet characters based on kids’ intrinsic interests. Upcoming accessories, web based character wikis, iPad apps, and an incredible word game called WORDPETS will all involve the Floppets that kids collect, play, and display. Floppets are also being transformed into your favorite licenses, including: Marvel, Major League Baseball, Veggie Tales, Star Trek, and TMNT. Greg Aronowitz, a Hollywood Special F/X artist, design specialist, and director is a Zydeco partner who is guiding the licensing properties and creative strategies that will make Floppets into pop-culture icons.
