CBM Chartered Professional Accountants LLP (“CBM”) was founded in 1976 and was led by three daring and ambitious children of immigrant parents: Anthony Cipolla, Peter Bartens, Joseph Monachino (“the founders”). Together they built the foundations of a firm headquartered at 152 Jackson Street East in Hamilton, Ontario that offered a combination of assurance, taxation and advisory services for clients in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The firm successfully grew over the years with the motto of, “It’s Business, and it’s Personal!” offering a personal and practical touch. In the 2010’s, these founders unselfishly welcomed three young and ambitious heirs apparent to their legacy as new partners: Alexander Olivieri, Christopher Pitton, Michael Stodolak. These individuals all started their careers at CBM and were able to hone their craft and learn enough to stand alongside the founders. After successfully transitioning client relationships and seeing the growth of the firm over the years, the founders happily retired in the early 2020’s. On January 1, 2024, CBM merged with another local Hamilton based firm, Guyatt & Moffatt Chartered Professional Accountants LLP (“G&M”). G&M was led by Michael Guyatt, Doug Guyatt and Brad Moffatt who were looking to ensure their clients and staff would be taken care of prior to retiring. Undaunted, CBM assumed the responsibility and their legacy is preserved under the continuing name of CBM. In Early 2025, CBM was proud to welcome 3 new partners to our growing firm. Tim Edworthy, Scott Paulin, and Darshal Shah each bring a wealth of experience and that can be leveraged to add value to existing and new clients.
