Warrior Surf Foundation
OUR MISSION: SERVE VETERANS. We fill the gap for veterans suffering from PTS, TBI, Physical Disabilities, and more by providing healing through our free surf therapy program. Warrior Surf Foundation provides FREE surf instruction to participants whose skills range from novice to those with varying levels of experience. Our surf Camps are 6 weeks long and include semi-private surf lessons once weekly, as well as two open surf clinics on Wednesday evenings and Saturday Mornings. The small group surf clinics provide an opportunity for more individualized surf instruction while the larger group clinics provide greater opportunities for socialization, team-building, family participation and improved interpersonal communication skills. There are 6 cycles scheduled for the 2018 calendar year. Participation is open to all branches of the military including active duty service members. Our program is available to those with psychological and/or physical disabilities. Psychological disabilities include but are not limited to Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and related mood or anxiety disorders. Physical disabilities include but are not limited to Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, and physical amputation.

Wisconsin Army National Guard
The Wisconsin Army National Guard is made up of approximately 7,700 soldiers including a headquarters staff in Madison and four major commands located throughout 67 Wisconsin communities: the 32nd “Red Arrow” Infantry Brigade Combat Team headquartered at Camp Douglas; 64th Troop Command, Madison; 157th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Milwaukee; and the 426th Regiment (RTI) Regional Training Institute, Fort McCoy. The Army National Guard (ARNG) is one of the seven reserve components of the United States armed forces. It is also the organized militia of 54 separate entities: the 50 states, the territories of Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. Administered by the National Guard Bureau (a joint bureau of the departments of the Army and Air Force), the ARNG has both a federal and state mission. The dual mission, a provision of the U.S. Constitution and the U.S. Code of laws, results in each Soldier holding membership in both the National Guard of his or her state and in the U.S. Army.

The National League of Families of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia was incorporated in the District of Columbia on May 28, 1970. Voting membership is comprised of wives, children, parents, siblings and other close blood and legal relatives of Americans who were or are listed as Prisoners of War (POW), Missing in Action (MIA), Killed in Action/Body not Recovered (KIA/BNR) and returned American Vietnam War POWs. Associate membership is comprised of veterans, other concerned citizens and extended family member POW/MIA and KIA/BNR relatives who do not meet voting membership requirements. As a nonprofit, tax-exempt, 501(c) 3 humanitarian organization (FEIN #23-7071242), the League is financed by donations from the families, veterans and others. The League’s sole mission is to obtain the release of all prisoners, the fullest possible accounting for the missing and repatriation of all recoverable remains of those who died serving our nation during the Vietnam War.
