In order to assist communities in their readiness to care for Veterans, we must strengthen the people and organizations that directly serve them. I SUPPORT VETS (ISV) advocates civic responsibility, and trains community members to help ease the transition of Veterans returning to their homes across the country. From online clinical education for providers and emergency service personnel, to onsite training for educators and employers, ISV seeks to improve the quality of care provided to Veterans and their families. Today’s military goes to war equipped with the state-of-the-art technology, trained in the necessary skills, wearing the newest gear, and informed with the most up-to-date intelligence 21st century know-how can provide. As a nation we must equip, inform and train our communities with the same dedication to state-of-the-art knowledge transfer, employing modern technology, research, and understanding to ensure that no man or woman is left behind.

MISSION Coordinate integration of Service Member Families into Hawaii’s socioeconomic ecosystem, resulting in higher Veteran retention, effective crisis management, and an enriched community experience.
